Now you might ask what the HECK is Contest Blogging???
Here’s how I define it… As you know this weekend is a Contest Weekend with the ARRL DX Contest so most of my normal weekend Amateur Activities have been blown out of the water…
I did hear a strong signal on 20m and ran the call through the QRZ Database and found out that that it was a club station and they had a really nice picture of their QSL card on line so…

This started me off on Contest Blogging… I hear the station…. I check out the call on QRZ.com and if they show a cool picture or a QSL card I try and make the contact and then download the pic and post it here.
If you see their QSL here then I made the contact… No Pic/QSL then no contact…
Its easier than logging…

The above contacts were made on 20m
More on this new sport later

I’ve wondered about a contest with real-time online logging so you can see people’s scores in realtime, but this sounds even more fun!

Hi Andy and thanks for the comments… I also post some videos on You Tube as well. Nothing fancy just showing the display on the radio and the audio of the contact being made… Its video in the RAW… No fancy editing but you do get to see and hear the contact…
If you go to You Tube and then do a search of VA3QV you will see what I mean
