I hate to burst your bubble but hands-free ham radio already exists! Yaesu has a wonderful unit the VX-8 that can be operated by bluetooth! And actually, I have a home brewed bluetooth gizmo (wall only port home brewed) that allows me to listen and transmit on HF on my Icom 756ProIII. I’m pretty sure Its connector can be changed to whatever a mobile radio is taking. So following the new Canadian laws is already possible now! And since the latter works on VOX, now you better get hold of your temper and not swear while driving too! You Canadian hams are doomed to become perfect gentlemen/persons drivers too:) !

Watch out it could happen to you guys as well… Not only swearing but the sound of a barking partner just like in the old days could suddenly come over the airwaves…
My beef is that we were never the problem… The yuppies with the cell phones were… we pay the price for everyone elses stupidity
