Well earlier I said I was not superstitious…
We had Friday the 13th… Shadow, our black cat walked across my path and there was threats of another solar flare hitting us and ruining the radio conditions…
Although I did not work any new DX I did manage to make contacts on 15m and 20m along with getting a Canadian Special event Station on 80m in the evening…
Martinique (20m) , Spain (15m) , Luxembourg (15m) and The Dominican Republic (20m) made it into my log. The bands were not that good and I also believe it was those Superstations getting ready for the IARU contest later today that were doing more than their share of the contacts… but… I did get them on the first or second call and in a couple of the contact there was a minor pile up that I did get through…
The FT 450 is working fine and I think fixing the radials on the S9 had to have helped…
The IARU contest will be the test…
Hope to get you in the log during the contest…
