Taking a moment to think about it… I now ask the question:
Whats so special about Paragliding that the pilots and the ground teams can’t pass the basic exam and become Amateur Radio Operators?
The Car Rally types passed the exams and we welcomed them… and some of us joined them…
The Search and Rescue types passed the exams and we welcomed them… and some of us joined them….
Whats so special about the Paragliders that they can’t work inside the law of Canada and just pass the Basic Amateur Exam and become Amateur Radio Operators?
Personally I think it looks like a great sport and I would happily welcome them as long as they follow the rules… and although I will keep my feet firmly on the ground I would offer my services to assist if I was available . Always try to help out other amateur groups when I can…
If the don’t want to follow the rules then you have options….
Because making a mockery of the rules for my hobby is not an option…
