Today is the anniversary of the Terrorist Attack on September 11th… The day that changed life as we knew it.
I still remember where I was that day… I had gotten home from Patrol at 0700… Fed my partner “Toto” (2 dogs before “Toby”) and went to bed. Liz woke me up saying “This is important…. you gotta see this…” I came downstairs had a coffee and watched the carnage on CNN. The phone rang at about 1030 and by 1100 “Toto” and myself were sitting at the airport in Ottawa for the sake of a better term “Babysitting” the very large storage tanks of AVGAS. I guess we did our jobs right as … the tanks are still there and I am writing this entry….
If you knew someone who was lost on 911, my condolences,… If your life was turned around by the events that followed 911, I can sympathise,,, It affected us all then, now, and forever…
