Its still damp but they are promising we will be dry for the next few days…
But today was damp and miserable… Didn’t spend as much time in the shack as I had hoped but…. The bands were open for most of the day… For reasons I can’t explain…. I was hearing lots but I was having a harder time than usual breaking pileups…
I managed 5 contacts to day (so far) on 4 different bands…
12m– S57ABC — Slovenia
15m– RC0F — Asiatic Russia
15m– TG9AHM — Guatemala
17m– CT9/DK1MM – Maderia Island
20m– LX9DX — Luxembourg

I think so far the contact of the day would have to be the 15m contact with RC0F. His signal was so strong… And he heard me on the first call. I find it strange that I can get just north of Japan so easily but have so much trouble with the surrounding areas… I would love to know what he was using for equipment… Great signal and he could hear me as well…
Anyway… its an enjoyable way to spend the day…
