We up here in Canada hold our “Thanksgiving” earlier than our friends south of us…. Thats for two main reasons…

<1> This way we get the Fresher Turkeys. The leftovers get sent south for November… Actually lots of Canadians head South when the weather gets colder but we call them “Snowbirds” and not Turkeys…
<2> The weather is much better in Canada in early October than November which makes it much better for travelling. (however some Hams in Kenora and other points in North Western Ontario might argue this one)

So this long weekend take a moment to reflect and to give thanks….
