This one caught me off-guard too. Kind of makes you wonder how much of a gap can there be between the 2000 and the 9000 in terms of performance? We all know about the $7000 gap, right? So maybe this will be to split the difference? If you're really in the market for another Yaesu, you might consider a used FT-1000 or FT-1000MP.
