Actually its Friday the 13th and my black cat just walked across my path…
Good thing I’m not superstitious….
If you are into contesting … The IARU Contest starts on Saturday at 1200z. Give a listen for the Prescott Russell Group operating as VY2RAC from PEI. They are using the PEI DX Lodge Station for the contest so you should be able to hear them…
I will be participating in the contest but my level of participation greatly depends on how good the bands are compared with the outside temps…

Its been tres hot here the last while and we are in a drought condition as well…. If the temps cool off a bit and the bands are poor then I might stray from the shack… Hot temps no matter what the band conditions are will find me sitting in the shack (basement is coolest part of house) and trying to make a few contacts.
Seeing that its also Friday the 13th… I’ll give a shoutout to my friends who ride the “BIG BIKES” who are either waking up in Port Dover or on their way to Port Dover for the festivities that occur every Friday the 13th… I would love to join them but the Electric Vespa is not in the same catagory as the “rides” you will see today/tomorrow in Port Dover.

Thats the big radio thing this weekend but…. As far as the rest goes…. Most likely not a QRP Weekend as with the contest happening I just don’t think that 5w will do much for me… This week I also have a sked starting on 40m ssb each evening between 1900 and 2000 EDST with a friend of mine who is sailing in the Great Lakes… Hopefully the Propagation Diety will favour us as it would be nice to make this contact at least a few times this week…
More should be coming later today as the other details of the weekend come into place…
